Welcome to your sixth year of Faith Formation! Level 6 is the first of a two year preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
During this year, children will focus on the Sacrament of Confirmation. Being Catholic isn't just a religion box we check or just one of many attributes that makes up a person. Its our identity in Christ that grounds us in our earthly mission: to get to Heaven and to bring as many people as we can with us! The Gifts of the Holy Spirit received in Confirmation help to do just that. This Sacrament isn't graduation or a completion, but rather, the very beginning of a new phase of our relationship with the Lord and His Holy Catholic Church.
Our Level 6 Program includes the following:
The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. It is the very center and essence of our relationship with God. Jesus said that “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you." (John 6:53) When we miss Mass, we spiritually starve ourselves. Therefore, Mass attendance each Sunday is required.
Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation is a 24 lesson program that provides everything we need to prepare our students intellectually and spiritually to catechize and challenge students to fully embrace a life in Christ. Chosen is a dynamic learning experience centered around fully integrated video and workbook lessons where we can explore what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ. Level 6 is the first of the two-year Chosen Confirmation Preparation.

Father Mike Schmitz is a Catholic priest the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries in the Diocese of Duluth, Minnesota. He is notable for his social media presence. He has countless short videos on questions regarding the Catholic faith and culture. Each month, students will explore a new topic on how we live our Catholic faith in the world today.
Each level consists of an at home biblical element. Saint Jermone says that, "Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ." Each month, your child will dive into the Gospel and read an interaction that Jesus has with a person or a group of people to better understand who He is, what His message is, and how people responded to Him. This assignment will be completed at home.
