Ministers of Holy Communion What we do: Assist the priests and deacons by distributing the Eucharist at the weekend Masses, on holy days and other special feasts. We distribute the Eucharist under both forms of bread and wine. Ministers are scheduled at variable intervals and for a specific Mass. Training is provided on a diocesan level and also on the parish level. With specialized training, we can also bring the Eucharist to those who are ill at home, who are unable to get to Mass. You need to be in good standing with the Church, write a letter to our Pastor, in order to begin the process. Join us to help bring the Body and Blood of Jesus to the People of God.
Lectors “Be doers of the word and not hearers only.” (James 1:22) Being a lector is a very important form of liturgical ministry. The essence of our particular ministry is to proclaim the word of God to the assembly; not recite words. We do not merely read a printed page, such as a telephone book or a restaurant menu-we proclaim the word of God. When the Sacred Scriptures are read in the Church, God himself speaks to his people. You are responsible for helping to form the community at Mass. This is an awesome ministry guided by the Holy Spirit. Please consider joining us.

Ushers "
Whoever welcomes one in my name, welcomes me." (Mark 9:37) Ushers are like the welcoming committee of the Church, opening doors to greet people as they enter into God's house each weekend for Mass. We are first to offer the parishioners a friendly hello, a smile, and at times a few words of comfort. We also assist with the collection, set up the vessels for each Mass and make sure the Church is clean after each liturgy.

Faith Formation (“Be doers of the Word”…James 2:22) With 500 young people registered in our parish program, many hands are needed to help pass on our Catholic Faith, maintain a safe environment at the Church, in the home and in our parking area. Specifically, we always need Catechists (teachers of the faith) for levels 1 through 7, hall monitors/receptionists for the Church classes and parking lot assistants to supervise the drop off and pick up of the children from Monday through Wednesday during class session times.
All parish volunteers must participate in a background check, as well as attend a session concerning child safety/abuse awareness. Those who teach are also expected to attend Catechist training sessions applicable to their grade level. Come and join our team. We have a wonderful support system in place. Feel free to contact
Briana Maggio the Director, at 737-8915, who is always happy to answer your questions.

R.C.I.A. (R.ite of C.hristian I.nitiation of A.dults) It is the process for welcoming adult newcomers into the Roman Catholic Church. Also it is the process for the following: those baptized but never completing their full initiation (receiving Communion and Confirmation) or those baptized in another Christian Church wishing full communion with the Catholic Church. It is both a personal journey and a community journey. If you wish to deepen or re-ignite your Faith or inquire about being a Catholic, please give the Parish Office (737-4388) a call to begin your journey. Questions are always welcomed. Team members to guide those seeking the Faith are always needed. If you enjoy sharing your Faith with other adults in a community setting, you would enjoy this ministry.
Families Activities Committee The Family Activities Committee of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is a committee dedicated to creating fun-filled family events for St. Elizabeth Seton’s parishioners, their families and friends, and is also open to all who would like to participate in some good wholesome family fun. The events will be geared to ensure that those attending will get to know their fellow parishioners and their guests. It is the committee's hope that those who attend an event, but do not regularly attend mass, feel the genuine warmth of our parishioners and be inspired to start attending mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on a regular basis.
